Suzanne commenced flute lessons at the age of 9, learning with Lindy Rixon, Linda Jones and Prue Page during her school years. Suzanne continued her flute studies with Michael Scott, Esme Yamaguchi, Louise Dellit and James Kortum while completing her Bachelor of Music (with honours) at the Sydney Conservatorium of Music.

Suzanne played with the SBS Radio and Television Youth Orchestra for many years touring with them to Italy, Malta, Vienna, Budapest, Prague, China, Japan, Estonia, Russia and Finland. She recorded a Concerto by Clifford Abbott for CD with them which has been broadcast on ABC Classic FM.

Suzanne was also principal flute in the Australian Wind Orchestra on their tour to the USA, and piccolo in the Australian Youth Wind Orchestra on their tour to Japan and Hong Kong.

Most recently Suzanne was principal flute in the Wollongong Symphony Orchestra. She has performed solo and chamber music recitals for Music Illawarra, Music on the Mall, Bay and Basin Music Club and Arts Bundanoon.

Suzanne currently teaches flute at the Wollongong Flute Studio, The Illawarra Grammar School, St Mary's College and The University of NSW. She has previously taught at SCEGGS Darlinghurst, Bulli High School and the Wollongong Conservatorium of Music. She was the director of the three Conservatorium Flute ensembles who have toured internationally to Belgium, Japan, USA, Germany and New Zealand. In 2009 they were awarded a Gold Award at Rhapsody Rotorua and in 2002 they were the winners of the National School Age Flute Ensemble Competition in Melbourne. Her ensembles have performed at the Leura Gardens Festival,Berry Gardens Festival, Bundanoon is Brigadoon, Wollongong Art Gallery, Thirroul Seaside and Arts Festival, Illawarra Choral Society Concert, Illawarra Folk Festival, Zonta Functions,  and a Red Kite Fundraiser.

In 2012 Suzanne was recognised by the AMEB as one of the top five teachers in the preliminary to grade six categories of instrumental teachers.
